My family and I moved into Kirk Smeaton in January 2024, having previously lived in Pontefract.
Our love for Kirk Smeaton and Little Smeaton first started when walking our dog through Brockadale Nature Reserve for many years when our children were younger. As visitors we were always made to feel very welcome.
I became a Councillor in April 2026, as I want to be part of the collective group of Councillors of Kirk Smeaton Parish Council to support the local community and its residents in anyway in which I can, helping to ensure that any decisions are fair, transparent and in the best interests of the residents we serve. Protecting and maintaining our natural environment is also paramount and an area I would like to support to preserve where possible.
Kirk Smeaton and neighbouring Little Smeaton are very knitted communities where events and opportunities bring people together with a great sense of kindness and I am proud to be part of it.
My personal interests are spending time with my family and friends, walking our dog, cycling and yoga.
I hope that my contribution as Councillor with be beneficial to our community.
